  1. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Scribes,

When I was on World Book Online I discovered 3 interesting facts. I found that Neil Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930. I also found that he was born on his grandparents medium sized farm in Auglaize County, Ohio. In 1947 Armstrong was accepted
into Purdue University in Lafeyette, Indiana.

    Sincerely,
    Sydney

  2. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Scribes,

If I was chosen to travel in space Iwould choose to travel to Uranus the coldest planet in space. If I were to go I would have to bring lots of warm chlothes, like jackets, pants and gloves. I would also bring my computer and my itouch. As you can see those are most of the items I would bring to Uranus.

    Sincerely,
    Sydney

  3. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Scribes,

I went on World Book Online and found three amazing facts about Neil Armstrong. One event was he was a civilian test pilot assigned to X-15 rocket airplane. Another fact is he studied engineering at Purdue University in Indiana. My final truth is he was then called to duty by the military to go to Korea. He flew 78 combat missions for the Navy

  4. Dear Mrs. Ranney and Scribes,

If I could go anywhere in space I would go to Jupiter. I would certainly bring lots of food because it is a very long trip. I would bring hamburgers, chicken, and steak. In conclusion I would love to have a barbeque on Jupiter!

    Sincerely,
    Ben

  5. Hi Sydney and Ben,

You both certainly found some very interesting facts about Neil Armstrong. I remember the day he walked on the moon. It was during the summer after I graduated from high school, and everyone I knew was watching television that moment with enthusiastic interest!

I hope you'll remember that you can use World Book Online for many of your school projects this year!

Your trips to Uranus and Jupiter both sound like they would be great! I wonder if people will actually travel to those planets one day? What do you think?

    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Ranney

  6. Dear Scribes,
Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon.
"One small step for man one giant leap for man kind" :those were his words. Most people hear that a lot in their lives. He graduated from Purdue University in aeronautical engineering.
